My friend Molly and I have been dreaming up some shoots lately and were super excited to get away from our busy schedules to do these with Lexie and Paige. I brought both my film and digital camera to this shoot but ended up just using my film. Even though I'm not yet extremely familiar with film I like the way these turned out. (Please excuse my light leaks)

Ranunculus

These babies look so much prettier since they've been sitting in my vases but I couldn't wait to snap some photos. These are my almost favorite flowers :)

I'm just going to say this right now....

I have a very limited amount of knowledge about flowers. I think they are very pretty, I like to put them in vases, and I like to take photos of pretty things. In no way am I trying to claim to be a florist.

That being said, I'm starting to gain knowledge by books and other things I can get my hands on because I sincerely have interest in floral design. 

I don't have access to many flowers but I was happy to find these Asters at the market.

fresh blooms

Sitting here dreaming of some fresh spring blooms.
I picked up these beautiful Protea flowers to pair with my wax flowers and snapped some of the last photos on my roll.
As much as I enjoy picking these beauties up from the market, I am so excited to be planting  Ranunculus, Dahlias, Zinnias, and more that will be decorating our wedding come June.

Jake and I went to the salt plains with our fellow photographer friend Daniel. It was closed so we didn't get to drive in and explore as much as we'd like. Afterwards we climbed a mountain and I almost had a heart attack.

I see more adventures like this in the near future.

a few of my favorite things

I've told myself today that I don't need to focus on one certain thing.
It seems like everyone around me is so fervently driven towards one certain thing, or maybe a couple of things. Lately I've felt like I'm not greatly talented at anything. But I know I enjoy a lot of things so I will pursue all of them. Today I picked up some flowers and went through some of my "future boxes" and took some photos. Because I wanted to. Here is a photo.

valentines flowers

 

 Jake and I are setting up our house with lots of lovely plants and flowers. It's amazing that we're going to be living here in four months. I can hardly wait :)
